FAQs

Where do you play/DJ?  +

Most of my work is London based as I’m very central, but I do travel within two hours outside of London for the right event.

How does booking work? +

Once you get in contact regarding a specific event and relay your event needs, I will send you a quote, inclusive of performance time, transportation and parking.

Once you are happy to go ahead with the booking, a 50% fee is requested to secure this.

Where can I hear samples or sounds of your work?  +

Please click on the Mix Cloud link on the site for several different audio samples of my work/mixes.

What sound equipment do you use?  +

I use a rather sweet Bose quality PA system and simplistic DJ unit, (as per pictures), a Traktor controller and a Mac Air system.
Quality lighting is also provided.

What is your music source? +

All music played is owned and played through my hard drive. I don’t stream music live to perform as you can never fully rely on the Internet. I’m also a big advocate for paying our beloved artists properly by downloading their music through sites such as Qobuz,  7digital, etc.

Specific songs can be requested on the night however, via a quick download, if they are easily available: this isn’t always possible.

Is your equipment PAT tested?  +

Yes, all electronic equipment is PAT tested. Current certificate can be provided.

Does SAKMUSIC LTD have Public Liability Insurance/PLL? +

Yes. Current certificate can be provided.

What about DJ dress code for formal events?  +

The dress code is matched to the occasion: wedding, corporate, etc.

Pictures at the event? +

I always try and take a couple of pictures throughout the evening to capture the moment and link these to the SAKMUSIC LTD website, with your consent.

What about extra hours playing time on the night? +

Extra hours can be requested on the night and are subject to an additional fee. I am happy to pay for longer if I can actually do so, but this may not always be possible depending on the next day’s booking, etc.

What about cancellations?  +

If you should need to cancel your event for any reason (life happens, right?), SAKMUSIC LTD asks for two weeks notice minimum prior to event day for the 50% deposit to be fully returned by the means paid in the end.

In the highly unlikely event of SAKMUSIC LTD having to cancel DJ-ing at your event due to illness or any other unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified directly immediately, and any fees paid fully returned straight away.
